Actor Timothy Busfield is facing a fight to keep his California home after failing to maintain the repayments on the property. The former "West Wing" star reportedly owes $1.25 million to his bank in relation to his Malibu mansion, according to legal documents filed with the California Recorder's Office.

The papers show Busfield's bank extended a foreclosure deadline in September and again earlier this month. But if Busfield fails to settle his bill, the property will be auctioned off in January 2011, according to TMZ.com.

Timothy Busfield is not the only star who is facing financial problems. Actor is in trouble with U.S. tax officials after allegedly failing to hand over more than $68,000 in back payments. The "Princess Bride" star and his wife Lisa were hit with a tax lien by bosses at America's Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in September. The papers, filed at the Los Angeles County Recorder of Deeds office and obtained by The Detroit News, claim the couple owes $68,648.

The other celebrity who is facing tax bill is Motown legend Lamont Dozier. He is facing a massive tax bill in the U.S. over allegations he owes more than $1.3 million. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) bosses filed a tax lien against the songwriter, who formed part of the formidable Holland-Dozier-Holland songwriting team, at the Clark County Recorder's office in Nevada in September.

The papers, obtained by The Detroit News, claim the star and his wife Barbara owe $1,359,387. Dozier and his wife have previously been in trouble over their tax affairs - a lien was filed against them by officials in California in 2004, over claims they owed $2.57 million.
